About

Fifteen years ago I started building things in East Africa. I haven't stopped since.

The Uganda Marathon co-founded and grown into an international event with $11.2M in local economic impact. Hospitality businesses designed, opened, and run in Uganda. A Kenyan travel brand scaled to $3M in its first two years. Each one taught me something the next one needed.

What that time has given me isn't just experience it's the right contacts in the right places, a genuine understanding of how things work on the ground, and the judgement to know when to push and when to adapt. That's not something you can shortcut. It's what Unhurried Travel is built on.

For corporates, NGOs, charities, and sporting groups, that means logistics and itineraries that actually hold together, handled with the kind of local knowledge that only comes from years of working here.

For individual travellers, it means access to the small camps that don't need to advertise, the experiences that don't appear on the first page of any search, and the places that make you understand why people come back to this part of the world again and again. Sometimes that takes you somewhere unexpected - Chad, Zambia - where East Africa's edges blur into something harder to define but equally worth the journey.

For experience providers and lodges, it means a partner who has actually built and run things here. Consultancy and representation grounded in the same commercial and operational realities you face, not imported from somewhere else.
